RIP

This one hurts!! I've been a fan since grade school! Electric Flag's A Long Time Comin' is in my 10 favorite albums. Nick was one of my favorite vocalists.

Nick was the cousin of one of my grade school chums. Had a chance to meet him a few years ago with the Chicago Blues Reunion. Have a framed, signed poster of all the Chicago Blues Reunion folks, incl Nick.

What is he famous for? So many great songs he wrote and sang! He took over vocals when Janis Joplin left Big Brother. I recommend My Labors album w/Nick & Bloomfield. Still have my 7 1/2 ips reel of that one.

Please read the article. You'll be amazed, as I was to read all the things he did!

RIP Nick.
A Long Time Comin', long time leavin', had a good run.

Enjoyed seeing him reminisce in the Dan Aykroyd - narrated Born In Chicago documentary streaming on Amazon Prime. https://www.amazon.com/Born-Chicago-Dan-Aykroyd/dp/B0B856BJHW/
