To be clear, the $69.99 price is for the Doobie Brothers set, NOT the the Chicago set. I think it is time a mod moved the confusing posts to the Doobie Brothers thread. If it was that price in the UK i’d be all over it, and i’m not even a big Chicago fan, but I was never a Doobie brothers fan until I got the quadio box
My STR-DN1080 can.Still bummed my Sony STR-DN1080 (with Sony UBP-X800) cannot properly decipher the Quadios …
Rats, I didn't realise that the first disc was also corrected. I only received the greatest hits. The two corrected discs that were available directly via Rhino are the first album and the greatest hits.
I think it was the second disc "Chicago II" that was corrected, right?Rats, I didn't realise that the first disc was also corrected. I only received the greatest hits.
That's my recollection.I think it was the second disc "Chicago II" that was corrected, right?
And wasn't it only the stereo tracks that was affected? That's my recollection.
I think so. I sold both of my originals, stating the issues. I think they were snatched up by Quadies. And wasn't it only the stereo tracks that was affected?
I did not ask for new ones as I don't play anything in stereo in my music room.I think so. I sold both of my originals, stating the issues. I think they were snatched up by Quadies.
I definitely do. My 2-chan system is sourced by a TT and an OPPO BDP-95.I did not ask for new ones as I don't play anything in stereo in my music room.
I’m not going back through the pages in this Thread but I’m pretty sure someone did correct me in that it is Chicago II, not the first album.Rats, I didn't realise that the first disc was also corrected. I only received the greatest hits.
Mine can now as well … obscure setting on the blu-ray player. My STR-DN1080 can.
I have the Chicago & The Doobies quad boxes. I still have not found a CD4 decoder to hook to the two amps I own. I need to write Rhino and ask for a replacement? For Disc 2 of Chicago Two. Thanks- Steven Pettinga, IndianapolisI think it was the second disc "Chicago II" that was corrected, right?
The Quadio Blu-ray Discs are in 192/24 DTS-HD Master Audio, so you don’t need a CD4 decoder.I have the Chicago & The Doobies quad boxes. I actually contacted Rhino last week about the replacement discs. I was told that they were no longer offering the replacements as the Quadio box set had been out of print for so long. The Quadio Blu-ray Discs are in 192/24 DTS-HD Master Audio, so you don’t need a CD4 decoder.
Regarding replacement discs, for reference two of the discs (Chicago II and IX) had some tracks in mono, not stereo, on the stereo portion of the discs. All the quad tracks are fine. To my knowledge Rhino stopped shipping replacements several years ago.
