I don't know if I'll purchase this one or not. The 2k Blu Ray upscales beautifully. If this had Atmos, instant pre-order. But just more video resolution isn't terribly compelling for me. Shame they didn't bother to enhance the audio.

Never bought the blu-ray of this, so may be tempted to purchase the 4k. Since it's a live concert, not sure you need more than a good 5.1 mix. I would be upmixing, anyway.

If I had not had it already, I would buy in 4K.
For a live concert, I feel like it's mixed pretty good.
If the 4K was remixed in Atmos, I would probably be all over it.
May anyway. LOL. We'll see. Never say never.

I'll probably sample it on Prime first - Hopefully it doesn't have a lot of shaky-cam and frenetic editing. I loathe that approach to filming live shows.

Hey, listen....I have no problem with what people spend on their audio equipment.
Myself, I don't have that many 4K titles, and yes, it's way out of my budget anyway. I'm sure people have speakers that cost more than my whole system, and I'm good with that.
I don't see blu ray discs going away anytime soon, personally, Lord willing and I live long enough I may see it, but at my age I'm not so sure.
I am happy myself but I have 800 4K titles at the moment. I'm also 71 so there is limited time to enjoy all this. I'm happy with my much cheaper equipment.

I'm a committed fan boy of all that is Steven Wilson.
But
I have the Blu -ray, which is superb.
I was at the London show with my brother, sitting near a certain Mr S Hogarth. It was fantastic.
So
What's the point in purchasing this release without Dolby Atmos, completely none.
High Dynamic Range of course, a far more noticeable difference than just the resolution bump is.

Funny… I just read this message at the same moment I was watching Hogarth being interviewed on the documentary of the Seasons End Blu-ray.

P.s. Agree about no reason to purchase without an upgrade to Atmos.

You have to have spent the big bucko bucks to own Kaleidescape components in order to buy from their online store and play their stuff.
If you can live without 4K, a used Premier system is a much less costly way to enter the Kaleidescape ecosystem. Even better if you have a collection of physical discs. You could probably pickup an M700 320-disc vault/player and 1U grandfathered server in the $3k range.
