The underground DVD-A is probably the source from where they got the BD from....would that be a surprise??? didn't think so...
It would surprise me because they don't sound the same...The underground DVD-A is probably the source from where they got the BD from....would that be a surprise??? didn't think so...

Well, IMO the underground one sounds BETTER than the one in the box set!
FYI: the people from Goldmund/Switzerland use the underground version as one of their demo discs; enough said
I haven't yet heard the Immersion surround mixes, but have to agree. This is one of the warmest, cuddliest discs I have, and in my top 5 for demo-ing surround to visitors. My Sony DSotM SACD must have an inch of dust on it; I haven't touched it since hearing AP's mix.The underground release has not been remastered to modern style, and actually has better dynamics compared to the box set version.
Hopefully those responsible will do an updated version containing everything on one disc.

Isn't the "Immersion" version just a compilation of all the different DSotM album versions? As part of it, I think it simply includes the Sony SACD version and the Alan Parsons Quad mix version.
neil wilkes' post points out the differences between the 2 versions of the Parson's mix. The underground version was not remastered the same way that the Immersion version was.
