Miles Davis, Sketches of Spain. Monster Music/Sony/Columbia/Legacy, 2011. Not my favorite Miles album (or my favorite Gil Evans album) by a long shot, but after stumbling onto another thread where QuadLinda & others were discussing this release, I had to check it out. Still available from Monster for ten bucks plus shipping. Synthesized surround (from the three-track stereo master), but pretty good synthesized surround, IMO.

For ten bucks, anyone who has a cursory interest in Miles and Gil, better grab this disc. Also contains a 96/24 LOSSLESS Stereo version.

I paid $50 for a used copy when it suddenly went OOP never realizing it would re~emerge for a paltry $10.

Haunting, beautiful and considering it was 'painstakingly' and, IMO, exceptionally well synthesized 5.1 from the original three channel masters....a godsend!

Just opened my ultra whiz box, yeah, whatever, listening to Collective Soul-Live instead.

When I got home, I had the deluxe box of Fleetwood Mac. I purchased from Amazon UK, it came very properly boxed and in perfect condition upon opening. I'll probably wait till the weekend to listen. Long day at work...mostly beat.
