Deep Discount (and other sellers) still have the SACD version with the Hi-Resolution 5.1 mix and Stereo for $28.39. It also plays as a CD if memory serves. This version has consistently sold for about $30 bucks, give or take a few dollars, if one is not able to get the deluxe edition with Blu-ray.

I suppose one way to figure out how “surround friendly” an artist might be, is if a major artist is mixed into Atmos or not. Of course there could also be other issues in the artist’s way.

If I’m remembering correctly, Steve from Rhino Records has mentioned that the first two Eagles albums were not mixed in Quad, or tapes not found. The Quad tapes of the Eagles do exist. But there are issues about getting a release of them. Which is a shame. Because my understanding is that without a clearance for a release, they’re not allowed to touch the tapes, and thus preserve them.

Managed to grab this entire box set off eBay (UK) for £40, unopened! Mint condition, exceptionally happy as it's my first surround Eagles disc.
