I thought I'd start at 7 because of the source, but -- whoa! Not only is this a tribute to my home area, but it sounds fresh like it was recorded for the tech of today! A 9, and I hate to give them out, but, damn. . . .

This is the easiest 10 I have given and possibly the best quad or surround mix of a big band recording I have ever heard. We are so blessed to get to hear a legend like the Duke with this level of fidelity

Best use of Quad: Second Line

Big Band/Jazz at its best. I listened to this album on Apple Music before I purchased this and thought it was just alright. Hearing this in quad changed my perspective completely. I think the separation/hi-quality just adds to it. If you are skeptical, do not be. Give this this a whirl and you will not regret it. Very happy with this purchase and it was not an album which was on my radar. Some talented music being produced here. ForagingRhino, bring us some more Jazz please.

Sometimes, I wish people who rate certain mixes lower could experiene this on my sound system. I think it would change some minds.

Best use of Quad: Second Line

Big Band/Jazz at its best. I listened to this album on Apple Music before I purchased this and thought it was just alright. Hearing this in quad changed my perspective completely. Does Apple have Quad and 5.1? I'm with Tidal and they only have stereo and Atmos.

When Tidal still had Sony 360 Reality Audio, you could find some classic Sony quad mixes uploaded in that format. There are a number of quad and 5.1 mixes on Apple Music in "Dolby Audio," a.k.a. Dolby Digital (Plus). However, my impression was that @dquad listened to the album in stereo from Apple before listening in quad from the Blu-ray.

Apple Music doesn't have this in quad. I listened to it in stereo because I've never heard of the album before. I was on the fence about purchasing it until I read the ratings on this poll.
