I wonder if the delay has anything to do with my credit card issues. Some grinch tried to use the number just before Christmas, so they cancelled the card and are issuing a new one. In ten working days, which means that along with the holidays, I can be confident about getting my replacement by Valentine’s Day.

Wierdly, my monthly Apple charge went through with the new number, but I still don’t know it yet. I can get the last four digits, but that’s not helping anything.

I literally just had the same thing happen a couple weeks ago. Bank mailed out a new card, but somehow Apple Pay updated itself before I got it.

I can tell you from my experience in banking that this is by design as a customer courtesy. For example, issuers of MasterCard-branded cards likely enroll in its Automatic Billing Updater service. Many consumers forget to update their billing details, so this service (if utilized by a merchant) will do so automatically thereby preventing things like missed payments or service cancellation.

Heres the DR rating for all the stereo tracks including the three bonus ones.

I've given most of it a listen today.

Superb, especially the older tracks like Rocket Man, Daniel, Your Song etc.

I don't have an Atmos setup but it sounds great on my humble 5.1 system when it folds down/demixes/unzips itself/decodes/oobejeeflips/rogersitselfupsideitshead.

Great value for money and as someone with great fondness for '70s Elton it's amazing to hear these tracks sound like never before.

Definitely one of the best SDE releases 👌🏻

:ROFLMAO:

Well this is an interesting discovery! It looks like the stereo mixes were from a 44.1 master as shown with Spek and how there's a sharp cut off above 22k.

Strangely one of the bonus songs Victim Of Love shows a little bit above 22k
The description "Hi-res stereo" is doing a lot of work there, it seems...

I know everyone including myself bought this for the atmos mixes, but I still would have expected the stereo mixes to be in proper 48k rather than upconverted from 24/44.1 (Even worse if its 16/44.1 as that would make the hi res terming for the stereo mixes false advertising)

24-bit @ 44.1kHz up-sampled to 48kHz is not an issue, you won't be able to hear any difference.

Hi-Res does not mean higher sample rates as that is not what resolution indicates, that is the 24-bits. Higher sample rates spread the quantisation noise inherent in any sampling process over a wider bandwidth, and allow for low pass filtering with slower roll-off filter slopes.
