unfortunately i think that ship has sailed. We had our chance with the 20th anniversary.
With Mike Portnoy's departure, I think they don't want to deal with royalties and the likes.

That's right, and it's wonderful. The latest Dream Theater Blu-Ray, Distant Memories - Live In London does give us a taste of what Metropolis Pt.2 would sound like in 5.1 (or Atmos).

Agreed! I think the first four Mars Volta albums, De-Loused In The Comatorium, Frances The Mute, Amputechture & The Bedlam In Goliath would be wonderful in 5.1 & Atmos.
