I was just looking at one of these! Not sure if I’m ready to commit but I do love Denon receivers.

Wow an impressive set of specs, it sounds like a great deal. So many features!

One feature that I find particularly interesting "Denon's Compressed Audio Restorer, improves sound quality of MP3s and other digital music files". I wonder how they do that? Compressed audio has information stripped out of it, how could you put it back in? Does the restorer just fake it? Biggest question is does it make MP3's sound better. Now I just wonder if a VST plugin exists for that same purpose?

Thanks. TBH, I personally wouldn’t be expecting much out an mp3, whatever magic they use to improve upon it. Anyway, my library of surround discs obviates the need for me to dabble in the world of mp3. I do, however, agree that it would be cool if Denon was actually able to dress up a compressed file.
