FYE needs to change their logo

I was in the mall today. It was raining and really wanted to walk. Our mall, Haywood Mall, still has an FYE. (The last time I was over there, the gate was down with a sign that said "back in 45min- 1 hour. I assume only one employee?)

The sign overhead shows "FYE. Music. Movies." But inside, it was definitely more of a toy store. Lots of games, trinkets, T-shirts, colorful socks, bobbleheads, etc.

There were two small bins of movies and two smaller ones of CDs. No order. Just all stuffed in them. The vinyl section was against the far back wall and was sparsely filled, but it was at least in some kind of order. The selection was small, but they did have some Beatles, Pink Floyd and others.

It's a far cry from what it used to be. "Movies? Music?) I think not.

I live in the sticks, pretty much. The County has two incorporated towns, the County seat (population 7000 +) and another so small you could breeze right through it and never think of it as a "city".
A few minutes ago I did a search for buying music in the larger town. Nada; nothing, though I did find a recording studio and a pawn shop.

I increased my search to the largest town in the next county, (population 12000 +) where I had some limited success, landing on a pawn shop and a flea market. A few years old posted picture of the pawn shop's music collection was not as large as my own and I suspect also included movies, as the racks appeared to all contain blu ray cases.

Of course about 85 miles away is Gainesville, FL, where I'm sure there is more variety.

Seriously don't believe I've bought any music from anywhere locally since I happened upon the SACD of DSOTM some years ago at WalMart, before they quit selling music altogether.

After Quad, & before the internet was a thing, I had a dialup connection mostly for the Compuserve & AOL programming forums. But, I learned of releases here and there, and through magazines, and started building a new surround collection mostly composed of DTS-CD which I bought from such disparate places as The Bahama's, Hong Kong, and South Korea, as well as standard CD's that were hard to find in the States (for me) such as Roy Buchanan and others.
