The USPS is a real mess these days (and not just the holidays BTW), really slow as molasses with tons of errors from my personal experience, also

You can say what you want about Amazon ...but their delivery services are SPOT ON...and if you're a PRIME MEMBER .... FREE!

Well for me at least, Amazon is not perfect either, many delayed items (with tracking at least) but probably via third party sellers.

But Amazon's refunds and return policy are a snap! I can return any items for refund to a local Kohl's department store and almost receive instantaneous refunds!

Unless they use USPS for the last mile, which happens fairly often.

There ia an area on my front porch that I can see through a window, but is not visible from the street. Some drivers put my packages there, and some lean it against the door where I can’t see it but porch pirates can. Having to check email to see if I have a delivery is still not great. I don’t know why they don’t ring the doorbell any more.
