I received my copy today from Import CDs. I’m Living In The Material World in middle GA!
My package arrived and opened up this morning, ripping Blu Ray now.
A simple rip, you do get stereo versions in 192Khz and 48Khz.
The box layout, words, pictures, etc. one of the most beautiful I have seen.
Getting the two records, not desirable for me, but I live in the material world and acceptance is sanity.
The booklet, RECORDING NOTES, is a very cool thing to read while listening.
Looking forward to a listen soon, this morning.

Listening now to the original tracks ATMOS. Beautiful. The music is even tempo which does compliment a wild Atmos mix. The sonic clarity is fantastic, strong mid range, right where I like it. The surround is an excellent Atmos bubble.

I was listening to the Extras Takes and Alternates in Atmos. It kind of bugged me, so I switched to the 24/192 Stereo, more fitting, as George would have played back?

I just looked at this on eBay. Selling for $400 to $600. WHEW!
Import CDs still has some, backordered, with delivery estimated 1-22-2025, at its "regular" discounted price of about $157.
I guess they got them in. I just got my shipping notice from Import cds.
I guess I will just play my original LP through the Surround Master. Great great album.

Great price but Amazon ca says it cannot be delivered to a US address! Bummer!
With the exchange rate it would've been $48.64 US

For such an important artist, why so few copies for this run? It makes everyone’s life difficult who wanted the music. It doesn’t necessarily make a title more “special” because it might be rare.
The music has already been out there for 50 years. I remember the day it came out at “Music Box” record store in Sun Valley Mall, Concord, California. I was a young teenager at the time, and they were playing the record as I came into the store. Of course the music was an instant classic.
Perhaps a standalone release of the Blu-ray might be considered. Then the whole release strategy would make more sense. But allowing sellers on the secondary market to make a lot of money, virtually upon release, does not.
