My copy arrived yesterday. Nicely packaged by Burning Shed, I might add. Completists should know that it does not contain absolutely everything that Laura ever recorded or was released. For instance, it doesn't include Live From Mountain Stage, Live In Japan, American Dreamer, Lockport 1990, The Nights Before Christmas or the 3 tracks from the Time And Love songbook (and there may be more; that's just from the top of my head
). Still, what it does contain is essential Laura.Nonetheless, it is an exquisite collection with an enjoyable coffee table book (remembrances by Charlie Calello are a standout), new masterings, and previously unreleased photographs courtesy of Laura's son, Gil Bianchini. It sits nicely beside the recent Sony Japan release of "Eli...," the Michelle Kort biography, and my perfumed vinyl copy of "Eli..." (I'm not kidding!; unavailable now for decades).
Laura Nyro fans, you know who you are and you know that you need this!

We caught Laura Nyro live twice at Chicago's Vic. Saw/heard Manhattan Transfer at the recently demolished Tropicana in Las Vegas. Also caught Rascals live and Phil Collins, too.

Very cool, @Quad Linda, thanks for your post. Order placed for copy of Tonin.' Unlike you, I only got to catch Laura live on one occasion. The upside is that she was on a bill with the Miles Davis Quintet! This was around the time of the Miles release of "In A Silent Way."

Wow!! Also caught Miles live half a dozen times in Chicago: Chicago Theatre, Petrillo Band Shell (Jazz Fest) and Symphony Center (Orchestra Hall). Had Tix for Miles at the Vic, Concert was canceled because Miles had Pneumonia.
