Did it..pinged fine..rebooted..still nothing..I'm stumped , I'm starting to think it has something to do with the USB stick...
Does your Oppo show up as a networked device? ( assume yes, from what you wrote, but just confirming)
I don’t think it is -not very tech savvy- it’s a stand alone unit connected to the internet.. no network in the house ..hope that helps!
How does it connect to the internet without an internet connection in your house?
If you connect the Oppo directly to your computer with an ethernet cable (bypassing a wireless network/internet), does it show up as a networked device? You said you tried wired, but not sure what you meant.

So, you should see it as a networked device, on your Windows computer. ('view network connections') Assuming your computer is also connected to the network.
I dig it man, some of this is so frustrating especially when working for years and decides not to.
If you are connected to internet you are Network, but go into Network settings just to make sure, your fishing now, so yo have to work hard.
Here are three screenshots, I will caption above each in bold. I hope you can get it to work you just have to magically find that key to unlock the problem. I call it stumbling around and then luck happens.
THIS IS MY DESKTOP, THE JAVA ICON SHORTCUT OPENS THE DISPLAY YOU SEE. I USED TO HAVE THE WHITE SONORE APP BUT THIS IS BETTER AS IT RIPS MCH AND STEREO AT SAME TIME.
THIS SHOT IS THE ISO2DSD FOLDER IN C DRIVE.
THIS LAST SHOT IS WHEN YOU OPEN THE SONORE FOLDER YOU SHOULD SEE ALL THIS THE APPLICATION FILE----.EXE IS THE ONE TO USE.
I reformat and reload the USB stick I use in my Sony due to the inability to remove it gracefully.
3x to date, once when I lost it (which I guess I should not count) once because it had been awhile and once because it was not behaving.
Good answer, yes it could be the USB KEY, put it in your PC and see if you get any prompts/problems.
I can take mine out and send you a screen shot of what it is supposed to look like, if you want me to.

Here's a screenshot of the error I'm getting when I ran the sacd extract GUI.. is there anything I'm missing to make it work?

Try browsing see my first screen shot, the .exe comes from a folder, yours does not.
I do not know sonare but using sacd_extract that is a missing binary from where you ran the GUI. Just replace it and based on the ping responding you should be ok.
It seems to be working!/ripping now...pheewww i think I'm there again finally!
