I am not a headphone listener, but I have a pair. You can still buy them. I think they still repair them. They have to be one of the best value deals in all of audio. And they punch way above thier weight.Grado SR60s

Yeah, I've modded mine over the years with built-in RCA jacks so cables are easy to replace, and Sennheiser HD414 pads. And I've had to send them back one time to replace a bad driver. Grado fixed it and sent them back with an invoice, no payment at all before they sent them back repaired. That's amazing service.I am not a headphone listener, but I have a pair. I got bit again by the surround bug - Atmos this time. But my ceilings are vaulted. So I got an Atmos receiver and Blu-ray player, got large LF/RF speakers, five good surround speakers on 36" high stands (LR/RR/ML/MR/C) and I can hear stuff never heard before and there is that clique 'reach out to feel the music' going on. I happy other than the speaker wires that run under the rugs (taped down). Any upgrade suggestion is welcome as long as they aren't thousands of dollars more. My "Dark Side...OTM" Atmos disc "displays/speaks" the sounds in the right spots.Yep. My guess is very few of us, if any, started with the types of systems we have now. We all started with transistor radios, or something similar, and worked our way up from there, each new upgrade being a welcome and much enjoyed improvement over what we had before. Few people go from A to Z in one bite whether that is due to cost restrictions or space restrictions or we simply haven’t developed an ear or taste for something “more”.
The point, as always, is enjoying the music!
This is the reason why I live alone happy with my speakers who only tell nice words to me.Hi all, have started to buy atmos mixes recently and come here to lurk to see opinions on the latest and upcoming releases. I only have a samsung q series soundbar set up, with rears but it sounds great to me. My other half won't let me have a full set up anyway so not an option, lol.
