Hello all,
I've recently become a big fan of multichannel music. I started out as a car audio enthusiast—specifically, a multichannel car audio guy. My journey began with a company that had been teasing an auto upmix solution for about eight years. Eventually, I got fed up and decided to just upmix all my music with Penteo and play back discrete files. Then, on a bit of a whim, I bought an Alpine processor with PLII, and it turned out to be fantastic—saving me a lot of effort. That experience sparked my curiosity about the history of upmixers from companies like Dolby and DTS, which led me here to this forum.
I also have a collection of multichannel albums that I'm working on uploading to YouTube, both in discrete 5.1 and binaural formats.
