This band is usually excellent live and the video looks very well shot - no shaky cam; I expect it will sound great as well. I wasn't as big a fan of I.D. Entity as I am of their earlier material, but this looks like a nice live document of the band to have.

I love Riverside (they're my favourite among the younger bands) and I also love ID.Entity, but I've never been too much into buying live albums, so I was undecided. However, after seeing what they did in the final 2 minutes there, I'm sold! Hope they introduced a few more surprises like that in other songs.

Also a long time Riverside fan.

Since this is a Video Concert, expecting same quality as the 2020 Wasteland Tour BD, the Surround audio is less important. (Still remembering ID.Entity poor Atmos mix)

To all those who like Riverside and are wondering whether to buy this release, I suggest you buy it! The sound is wonderful; dynamic, clear, selective, but not artificial - you can hear that this is a concert recording. The video is also excellent. The whole thing is simply sensational to watch and listen to! For me, it is a special souvenir, because I was at this concert. But believe me - my assessment is objective. It is a great document of a great performance by a great band.

Clarification: If you don't yet own ID.Entity in surround, obtain the studio ATMOS disc before buying the new-release LIVE performance. The Studio ATMOS disc is fantastic, in the top 5 of the ATMOS discs I own for quality of the mix. It is unlikely that any live concert recording, for any band, can measure up in pure sound mix quality to one purpose-recorded in the studio to be surround (in addition to 2-channel) from its' inception.

It doesn't seem like a very good recommendation to me, if what you're looking for is a good Atmos mix.

Knowing that the album is a video concert, it is not necessary to purchase the studio album first, unless watching the concert video is not relevant and you only intend to listen to the music.

I am a Riverside fan and I bought the Ltd. Deluxe 2CD+Blu-Ray ID.Entity at the time.

But the sad thing is that ID.Entity's Atmos mix is one of the poorest I've listened to. Except for a few seconds at the beginning when there is sound movement behind and above, the entire Atmos Album is predominantly stereo with very little content in the surrounds and Tops/Heights.

I really need to catch up on Riverside. I saw them at NEARfest in 2006 (I think that was the year). They opened the show, in fact. Their set was at 11am, but there were people there just to see them, left after their performance, then split for the rest of the festival. I have their first two albums, like them a lot, but just never followed up. Thanks for all the suggestions, folks!

The big attraction for this Live I.D. release would be the video - seeing the band perform. I haven't found any of their surround mixes to be anything more than just OK - which is a bit of a shame since the music is generally pretty cinematic. Surround just doesn't seem to be an interest for Mariusz Duda. His side project, Lunatic Soul, has several fantastic albums ranging from electronic experimental to acoustic which would be great in surround, but that doesn't seem to be in the cards, either.

I agree. While the mixes are super in terms of fidelity, the surround content is tame, IMO.
