Absolutely. I order from jpc.de more often than not nowadays. Their prices are usually better than any of the other online retailers once VAT is removed, and their overseas shipping charges are insanely low. And they're absolutely scrupulous about notifications, tracking, and packaging.

What a pain. I could not confirm my order with Amazon it just would not go through. So I canceled my order and received confirmation of the cancelation. I then went back to Amazon and bought Red again for less money $50. It's in stock and will be here Monday.
So much for pre ordering and Amazon.

No change in my order status at Importcds - still says processing. Red is listed in stock and available for order with delivery by Nov. 2 - BUT the price dropped from $48 to $41 . And in another bizarre twist, Amazon's price has dropped to $46, there are 15 in stock and will be shipped from Importcds also with delivery by Nov. 2 . Are these companies colluding to drive us crazy?

I don't think I've seen a price drop on an unshipped item at Importcds before. I'm not losing any sleep over a few dollars, but does anyone know if Importcds gives you a refund if the price of an item drops before shipping, like Amazon? I'm thinking not, but don't really want to cancel and reorder over such a small amount.

Amazon now says I'm getting Red on Nov 4.
I will be red if it doesn't arrive then.

I got an explanation from an Amazon.ca guy that my order of Steve Howe's latest CD, listed as "5 in stock" but not available until next month, meant that the supplier in the UK had 5 in stock and was shipping them to Canada. So I suspect it's the same situation with your order; their supplier has 15 in stock, and the date is when ImportCDs expect the 15 to arrive by and be sent out.

I sent importCD a note asking about my copy. They replied back and said it was preparing for shipment. I now have a tracking number in my USPS informed delivery that sure looks like importCD

I just thought it was weird that Amazon has been changing their "source" for the product over the last few days, and it finally listed Importcds which has yet to ship out its own existing orders. I sure long for the days when you could simply place an order with a vendor and confidently expect delivery as initially promised. Seems like that time may be gone for good.

I cancelled with import CD's as they had no ETA last Wednesday, reordered with the shed this and discipline are my absolute favs from this often cacophonous and dissonant band. But i also like the barber Shop Song for demo. The Shed shipped right away.

These experiences reaffirm my habit of never preordering anything . I wait for the release date, and then order the stuff from whoever has it actually in stock and at a good price. I'll probably wait a bit more for this one - I have the 2009 DVD-A anyway, way too many other surround releases still waiting to be listened to, and I could find Larks' noticeably cheaper a couple of months after release date, so I expect the same for Red.

Yes. I got mine last Wednesday (Burning Shed is always the way to go apparently!) and yes the packaging is the same size and material as the Larks 50th

I have been trying to order this from Import CDs and I am finding that the Import CDs site has been acting strangely for a while now. I can't add my selections to the cart or to the wish list. I can browse the items at the site, I just can't buy them or save them. I have bought from them for years and this was not an issue until about 6 months ago. I have tried different browsers and different computers. Is anyone else having issues adding items to the cart?

They may be doing some work on the site. I noticed that the display has gone a bit wonky using either safari or chrome, but at least for me the basic functionality still works. I successfully ordered an item as recently as 10/24.
