I’d be all over these if there were stand alone Blu-rays too.
But Zero interest in the outakes/demos and live material and other knick knacks.

In a way I’m glad the pricing is crazy.
It removes any temptation, completely.

I will be surprised if this set goes as planned, even knowing that there is a Kiss Army out there. This just seems like the wrong album..

Recently, I caught Paul on an episode of Jonesy’s Jukebox, and Paul noted that he thought of Creatures as a good and under appreciated album, ultimately eclipsed by Lick It Up, the “reveal” album. That seems like the only plausible reason why they would give Creatures this much love. The wrong album to us but not to them.

Hey, record labels! Did you know you can fit all these outtakes and demos and extra bonus goodies on a single disc? A Blu-ray disc? Did you know people are far more likely to have Blu-ray compatible gaming consoles than CD players or record players? Huh? Did you know you can make MONEY?????

I hope in 2024 they do a super deluxe edition of their first album. However, Rock & Roll Over is my all time favorite by them and I hope it gets the same treatment but that 1st album is outstanding! I need to give Love Gun another listen.

I'd buy any of the first three, none of which originally sounded decent. After that, it started to become things other than the music.

Believe it or night I have this album on a supposedly rare 8 track tape. Would not want to spend $300 on the box set

If they were going to pick a later album to embellish my choice would have been "Revenge". Unfortunately there isn't an album in their discography for which I'd be willing to pay $300, even if Gene was gong to hand deliver it.

Do we still not know who is mixing the surround version? Usually if it’s Steven Wilson he says something publicly when the product is officially announced if it wasn’t already public knowledge before then.

I’m still shaking my head at the price. I love this album, but haven’t quite decided if I “$300-love” this album. (Or even at $265 currently on Amazon.)

I often suffer from FOMO with sets like this, but it might be a personal test-case on whether I can wait patiently for a significant price drop down the road.

What Marplot was alluding to .... During Amazon Prime's recent sale [for PRIME members ONLY] the Kiss Destroyer box set dropped to $126 and I caved in and bought a copy!

In fairness, I also bought a copy. But you are correct, there is a price point where the 70's kid in me will spring for the box.

And during that same Prime sale, The Who Sell Out box set which lists for $140 was reduced to $68 ..... and like Destroyer is a big hulking affair!
