A shame--that's a great one, Atmos-wise. . . .yeay! only Grandmaster Flash not in Atmos in the UK!

I suspect they never found them - on my system, the Atmos mix sounds like the original stereo duplicated in the fronts and heights with some reverb in the rears.Christopher Cross!! Yes!!
I had asked him a few years ago if that first album would ever be mixed in 5.1 and he said DTS had approached him about it but couldn’t find the multis. I’ll see him next week, I’ll have to ask him the story about this mix.
I don't think it's obvious. There are many 360RA titles that are just the old quad mixes. So, not obvious at all.Obviously not if its in Atmos (per the thread title). Maybe if its 5.1
For Atmos on TIdal, you need an Atmos setup (AVR, speakers). Should work on any streaming device, but I haven't tested it on a PS5, phone or PC. Chromecast should probably work? Thanks for letting me know. Anyone know if Tidal have similar restrictions?
But he asked about the DVD mix.I don't think it's obvious. There are many 360RA titles that are just the old quad mixes. So, not obvious at all.
I think it would be marked as "Dolby Audio" if they were reusing an older 5.1 or quad mix. In any case, the Atmos mix of "Time Passages" is definitely not the same as either 5.1 mix (the leaked DTS version from years ago or the DVD in the Esoteric/Cherry Red reissue). There's nowhere near as much channel seperation and a lot more tape hiss.I don't think it's obvious. There are many 360RA titles that are just the old quad mixes. So, not obvious at all.
There is no Dolby Audio tag on Tidal.I think it would be marked as "Dolby Audio" if they were reusing an older 5.1 or quad mix. Yeah I’m super bummed. Arthur’s Theme sounds even worse, like REALLY bad.I suspect they never found them - on my system, the Atmos mix sounds like the original stereo duplicated in the fronts and heights with some reverb in the rears.
Yeah Arthur's Theme is possibly one of the worst mixes ever! Shame. Why bother. Cool that you know Cristopher Cross though.Yeah I’m super bummed. Arthur’s Theme sounds even worse, like REALLY bad.
all groovy thank you, 'cept no Dusty in Memphis in Atmos in the UK, as the catalogue's on Mercury rather than Rhino over here
It's not listed but I think the album I'm Your Baby Tonight is also in Atmos (360RA in Tidal)Whitney is the new featured Atmos artist on Apple Music
