yes looks like they nearly converted everything.

It is a bit hard for me to find out what is in Atmos amongst my favorite francophone artists like Mylene Farmer
My knowledge of francophone artists doesn't go deep, so I'm grateful for your recommendations. I'd love to hear a couple of old favorites--MC Solaar (90s) and Charlélie Couture (80s)--get some Atmos love, though. And whether they sing in French or Lingala or whatever: the music of the great Congolese artists who were recording both in Paris and in Kinshasa from the 60s through the 90s would be absolutely brillant in Atmos, assuming there are multitrack masters. That polyrhythmic percussion, those interlocking guitars....

I participated to an event in Marseille with MC Solaar, long time ago. It was wild and fun. I checked a few more artists but nothing yet, if I find something I'll post it.

New U2-Songs Of Surrender-Dolby Atmos-Apple4K-California.
I purchased the 4 CD set, so very happy to see this in Atmos. Surprised as U2, one of the biggest bands in the world, seem to shy away from Hi Res and surround. This new re-worked music is interesting. I think only a fan such as myself would be able to appreciate the re-worked music, I have not yet heard anything that I like better than original, but I do like the different versions, new and fresh.
Height speakers are weak, surround center and rears are weak, but it does have a better feel than the stereo CD's.

If we're talking about French artists in Atoms, I think this one was not mentioned

I'm not French but I grew up on chansonniers like Dassin and Music from San-Remo, so this greatest hits album in Atmos is a treat for me. Especially since this is a splendid Atmos Mix.

I don't know who made the mix but he needs to be praised. This is how a good Atmos mix is done.

If you are not a fan and just want to sample a few songs, I would go with these ones:
Les Champs-Elysées
L'été indien
Et si tu n'existais pas

You probably heard them somewhere before.

Great thread. Is there a reason we are only discussing Apple Music and Tidal and aren’t discussing Amazon Music HD here? I signed up for the free trial earlier this month and most of the tracks mentioned here are available there.

At the time this thread was started, I think Amazon was only offering binaural headphone playback.

I previously though the same, and was on the free trial period, quite impressed, and all set to sign up...I got the chance to try Apple Music using a pretty basic Apple TV 4k box and decided it was way better - the quantity of Atmos music available is hugely bigger than Amazon, it locks onto the Atmos signal significantly faster (10x or so). My internet is via several miles of copper cable and not likely to improve any time soon so this was really the deciding factor for me. YMMV
