This new album is now fully available and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. The mix is great fun and the music is quite enjoyable and relaxing. His singing is still great, even with an older more raspy voice.

Well, well, well! They haven't lost a step. Solid album and great mix. Hats off to Simply Red for staying so consistently good!

Also, I'm delighted to report the new Matchbox 20 album sounds great. Good music, consistently good sound, strong mix. I listed to a couple full songs and spot-checked the others and it all checks out.

The Atmos mixes of the other albums disappointed the hell out of me. Uneven sound quality, sometimes even within the same album, often sounds tinny like a 96 KHz MP3. Mixing ranges from sad to average. Better to stick with the stereo versions.

Wow--interesting! (The SFS stuff especially--I wonder if we'll see other things from their back catalogue? And I wonder why they didn't just compile those Ligeti pieces into an album?)
