From this MacRumors article, looks like the new iOS beta rolled out song credits support (I’m no longer on the beta as it caused just enough problems that it made sense to roll back)
https://www.macrumors.com/guide/everything-new-ios-17-beta-3/
Article claims the credits screen will also have details on lossless bitrates and Atmos availability (please oh please have a button right there to easily switch between the two instead of having to go 3 levels deep in iOS settings)

Eliane Elias, Mirror Mirror. Gorgeous Grammy-winning album of duets with Chick Corea and Chucho Valdés. As far as I know, this was recorded live in studio with the pianos facing each other, yin/yang style. So no Atmos fireworks, but the format does add a lot of "space." Sounds especially good on headphones or a MacBook. A couple of other releases & re-releases on the revived Candid label (Terri Lynne Carrington, Wayne Shorter & Friends) have also gotten Atmos mixes--a good sign.

Immersive mix engineer: David Leonard
This mix seems a bit on the subdued side. Very front heavy, whereas I would think this album would lend itself to a full on, light up the full array of speakers, music everywhere mix. Surrounds seem to be discreet but limited to reverb, chorus, some percussion.

There used to be a much more discrete mix of My Prerogative as a standalone track, but that mix appears to have been totally replaced by this new version -- I can't find the old mix on Apple anywhere.

The original Atmos mix is still available on Tidal:

Donny McCaslin "I Want More".

So, like a bunch of us in this thread I have been digging this album for the last week or so. Then tonight I went to catch Elvis Costello and Nick Lowe. Lo and behold, Elvis added a horn section to his touring band. Donny was the sax player! It was awesome!

I DL iOS 17 to check out crossfade, it’s sketchy. Sometimes it’s smooth, but mostly truncates the end of the song. Works better on Wi-Fi. Unfortunately the feature isn’t available on TVOS beta for ATV 4K.

Still a few months before it’s released. I don’t bother with beta releases anymore as it always feels like I have a broken phone.

How were his vocals.? Saw him two years ago and it wasn’t too pretty.

I saw him in Bend, OR last month (sans horn section, dammit!) and yeah, his vocals were...uneven. He's been singing flatter and flatter for years, even on disc. It's weird, though: on the uptempo tunes, he tended to be spot on. But on ballads like "Allison," or on ill-advisedly slowed-down arrangements of formerly peppier tunes, he was a mess. (There was a spate of tunes late in the set--"Toledo," "Watching the Detectives," "I Don't Want To Go to Chelsea"--that was almost unlistenable. Someone should forbid him from using vibrato ever again.) But then, miraculously, he finished with a medley where he pretty much hit everything on the head.

Inexplicably, Nick Lowe--who was in fine voice for a much-too-short opening set, did not join the band for "What's So Funny 'Bout Peace Love and Understanding," even though he came out for a final bow at the end of the night.

Her previous album “Quietude” is also in Atmos and while there are no Atmos fireworks, it is well recorded, produced and performed. This a more Brazilian Jazz affair but no less compelling. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing Eliane perform live on several occasions - a devotee of Bill Evans and Jobim. Does not get the recognition she deserves.
