some acoustic Atmos Toad the Wet Sprocket
I wouldn’t consider this to be a “niche” album at all. Several hit singles.
It'll never cease to perplex me how more "niche" albums like this get real surround mixes with headroom and everything, and more famous ones get fake surround and brickwalling even with the multitracks sitting right there... but this is a nice surprise. Several powerpop earworms from one of the best eras for the style. Now, where's Toad the Wet Sprocket?
Welcome to the forum! And thanks for the playlist. I see you have some of my favourites in there. Look forward to listen. I spotted some tracks with your name as well. Do you mix yourself? Here's a link to my Tidal playlist of Favorites: Dolby Atmos Favorites

Ken Caillat and Claus Trelby (of Fleetwood Mac and Joni Mitchell fame) did these mixes, so that's why they're greatIt'll never cease to perplex me how more "niche" albums like this get real surround mixes with headroom and everything, and more famous ones get fake surround and brickwalling even with the multitracks sitting right there... but this is a nice surprise.
These have been there for a wee while Franck but always worth a heads up.

Thanks Beerking, glad to be a part of the QQ community, especially around the people that enjoy quality music! I'm currently working on re-mixing some older tunes at the moment from my heavy metal band Eternal Legacy in Dolby Atmos which should be released sometime in 2025, I'll keep you posted once I get something rock'n. Picked up an SSL The Bus+ to bounce some audio through to add some color and loving it!Welcome, very interested to know what projects you are currently working on.
Great to have another Atmos mixer on QQ, with 'hands on' experience and input.
Great playlist by the way.,
Big thumbs up. Atmos engineer credits should be more prominent.Ken Caillat and Claus Trelby (of Fleetwood Mac and Joni Mitchell fame) did these mixes, so that's why they're great
Oh yeah, I almost always figure it's the label for not giving two shits, either about the artist or the format.I wouldn’t consider this to be a “niche” album at all. Several hit singles.
To your point though… the record label is a factor. This album is a UMG release and they have been releasing plenty of excellent Atmos singles and albums. Whereas Warner has produced many “fake” or subpar Atmos mixes.
