I Robot - Alan Parsons Project Classic Records HDAD DVD 24/192. 10/10 Great album, mix and transfer. I've had this on LP, 1/2 speed LP, MoFi silver CD & HDAD DVD-A 2ch. We used to demo with this back in the day, but it never sounded this good. The only way it would be better is a lossless surround mix. Until then, this is absolutely awesome!

Somebody else is looking into my mind, some other place, somewhere, some other time...

I have the HDAD DVD-A of that also - and have played it in fake quad via my Surround Master.... I give it an 11!!!

The Turn of a Friendly Card is also amazing...

Living Colour fest...
Started with "Money Talks" from the "Biscuits"EP
Now ""Vivid " from a 96/24 LP transfer.....they are doing a 25th anniversary Tour of this, their 1st LP...
Saw them way back in '91 (loudest concert I've ever been to-ears were ringing for the next THREE days...I'm sure that my tinnitus perenne stems from that)...and then in 2008, first row in front of Doug Wimbish...btw, the nicest one of the group...

Living Stereo - Mussorgsky - Pictures at an Exhibition 3.0 SACD -> 5.0 (Center channel unchanged) L+R via Surround Master - seems to work.

Anyone else tried this with any other 3 channel recordings?

Blasphemy!!!

Yes - CTTE - Blame Hoffman its a 2.0 SACD -> 4.0

The Alan Parsons Project - Eye In The Sky (not the HDAD which has a "tape stretch" on it)

Now listening to a playlist full of cool songs, but just now its Deftones - Back to School... Sounds so awesome... If anyone here likes deftones you should try it through the surround master

LizardKing... Im not sure but i think youre the one more "metal" in here...

Wellaybe im wrong but if not, use the surround master to play Pantera - The great southern trendkill, more specifically 13 steps to nowhere... Tje drumas are all over the place... Very very cool

I have wide tastes. I listen to everything and anything in surround - from The Carpenters to Corrosion of Confirmity, Nine Inch Nails to Nickel Creek...

Have to admit that I've never really listened to Pantera though! :yikes

Pain of Salvation - Remedy Lane!! Amazing through the surround master...The ballad "Undertow" is a highlight! feel chills through my spine!

The Vince Guaraldi Trio 9/10
Vince Guaraldi 'In Person' 9/10

Both sound lovely in DPLII Music mode (Panorama off, Dimension 0, Centre Width 7) considering the age of the recordings. The fake quad field holds Guaraldi's piano in the phantom centre along with the snare and hi-hats whilst the double bass gets spread elegantly around.

Saga- 20/20, their latest effort....so great to hear them sounding like Saga would in the 21st century....

OK, so it's brickwalled...so what else is new..not too bad....

Glad to see they still have a sense of humor...some references to their legacy...the song "Ellery" (see "The Perfectionist" from their debut LP) also includes the term "Worlds Apart"....

Now , this is great, Saga with a REAL drummer ..never liked the original guy-his fills were all the same and he was a bit shaky tempo wise...

definitely a no brainer for prog rock fans (or even good Rock fans)...
of course a MCH release would have been the ultimate but I don't think they are into it...or would have enough market for it...

Great guitar solos (Ian is one of the most underrated guitarists EVER!!!)....

10/10

Fake quad glory...
Don't see a lot of love here for this legendary band that, although they never made it BIG are still going on when most people would've given up by now...
Give'em a chance , especially since there are a LOT of Prog lovers here, heck , it's oly less thatn 10 bucks for this excellent CD.
If you wanna REALLY wanna get into them, got for the first 5 discs
(Saga '77, Images at Twilight '78, Silent Knight '80, Worlds Apart '82 -their biggest one, "On the loose and "Wind him up" were their only minor hits, and their "In Transit"'83-live- , one of the first digital recordings...., you will be blown away...)
they were prog but not too"complex", even had a "dance groove" to some of them...
Saw them in 81 and was never the same...Puerto Rico is one of the places they are ALWAYS welcome ...I know they are pretty big in Germany too...

Only ever bought one of their albums: Heads or Tails. The tracks i really enjoy on that album are "The Pitchman", "The Flyer", "Catwalk" & "Scratching The Surface", although overall the album's not bad.

It was produced by Rupert Hine, who certainly does have a certain style, and not one to everyone's taste.

Green Carnation - Light of Day, Day of Darkness in quad through the Surround Master.... Great band, great album/song, great in quad

Robert Plant - Now And Zen
Listening using the Surround Master in 4.1 QS mode.
If I didn't know better, I'd swear it was really QS.

Surround Mastering The Aristocrats - Culture Clash album

Just WOW!

Thus would have been an incredible discrete surround mux

Quatermass - LPCM Stereo -> Surround Master = much better than the DTS 5.1 mix....:howl

Garcia/Grisman (1991); RBCD 44.1 16b; PLII: Currently, "Grateful Dawg", first time via "fake quad" and hitting the spot. "Arabia" is fine. Anyone else have this one?
