Julia Fordham - Swept

Julia has a beautiful, rich voice.
But this disc consists almost entirely of slow dreary ballads. Made it a real slog IMHO to get through.

I love Julia's earlier stuff and when I saw this was available on Stereo SACD from Universal Japan I opted instead to buy a used mint condition RBCD through Amazon... 'cheep cheep'

Jeff Beck - With the Jan Hammer Group Live

Great songs and playing as one would expect.
Sound quality is late 70’s live so no miracles here.
It’s fine but not necessarily audiophile quality IMO.

Arriving tomorrow via DHL from CDJapan .... the long anticipated Borboletta from Carlos Santana and Sony Japan's DSD256 remastered Stereo SACD of Laura Nyro's ELI AND THE THIRTEENTH CONFESSION. Will be interesting to compare the latter to Audio Fidelity's wonderful QUAD SACD released in 2016!

By the way, RANG, MoFi's Jeff Beck ~ With the Jan Hammer Group Live sounds fantastic when played through the SUPER DSP mode of my Meridian 861 pre/pro....swirling instruments discretely fill the soundstage. LOVE IT!

Other than Woodstock and Taxi I’d never heard this album before.
