Wow! :yikes Level 100!
The Carpenters Singles SACD. Sounds great and Karen's voice has no comparison. Nice action in the rears. Did I hear some tape hiss?
Great fun disc - I had the priviledge of seeing Junior play at SXSW in Austin, TX a few years ago - an amazing player - he can go from down home chicken pickin to Hendrix in a heartbeat.
Junior Brown's Multichannel SACD "Down Home Chrome" - a Surround Sound Direct Stream Digital (DSD) recording by Telarc's Michael Bishop.
It features Brown's home-made "guit-steel" - a combination Electric Guitar + Steel Guitar and some hilarious country songs (Two Ron's Don't Make It Right, Hill Country Hot Rod Man, Little Rivi Airhead) along with his tribute to Jimi Hendrix' "Foxy Lady"!

Down Home Chrome - Junior Brown (Telarc Multichannel SACD-63612)
You can still pick this one up as a new SACD at Amazon.Com for $24.14. Worth a listen.
An excellent Multichannel SACD featuring singer Jacintha in her tribute to Julie London - along with her take on Light My Fire by the Doors.
Jacintha is backed by an all-star band and the sound of the music and her vocals is crystal clear.

MYTHOS
Very good and comes up great with Surround master
If you like Jarre Jean-Michel you will like this one
sounds great! thanks for yet another recommendation! how discrete is the surround?
The SACD has some surround elements. And it's a direct to DSD recording so the sonics are excellent as well. Unique for a rockabilly/country album.
Just a word of mild caution - while I truly enjoy this disc & would jump at any opportunity to see Junior perform live, this is for the most part, straight ahead, roadhouse country music ala Merle Haggard - with a few heavy doses of corn. With the exception of the few uptempo tracks where Junior cuts loose, it's a pretty laid back affair. Like Brian says, its an excellent recording with some discrete elements that are in line with the style of music.

I've had several Jacintha SACDs on my shopping list for years but not got round to getting any of them, how's the surround mixes on these discs? ambient? double stereo? discrete? it's not a deal breaker either way just curious. Thanks!
