Dottie West: House of Love / If it's All Right with You/Just What I've Been Looking For

Kickin’ back to some country for a little night music.

Home today, going into work later, have bad sinus congestion, good time to get caught up on some recent purchases.
Starting with this DVD-A 24/48 5.1. Prog Metal surround is pretty good, but as with all Prog Metal has that sound that seems to be repeated over and over, the better Prog bands rise to the top. Thanks for the QQ tip on this so I could purchase.

You're saying this disc gets repetitive?

You're saying this disc gets repetitive?
No, not quite this disc, but Prog Metal in general, all the intricacies, symphonic feel with vocals that are very big, unlike Steven Wilson where as I feel his vocals are more rock like. This is in that same genre as Ayreon, etc.
This disc is enjoyable, don't get me wrong.

Elton John - Captain Fantastic And The Brown Dirt Cowboy - Madman Across The Water

Emerson, Lake & Palmer ‎– Brain Salad Surgery

5.1 full fat dsf back up files on NAS.

Good idea, I think I will listen to Brain Salad after I finish with the absolute stellar DV release of Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes.

Can’t recall who told me to buy this. But WOW!

From Dutton Epoch. Eugene Ormandy Alexander Nevsky.

For cripe sake. Super powerful!!!

I'm with you, Gene! Actually, it may have been your post that prompted me to purchase

Amazing mix! Go @GOS ! (and @4-earredwonder and @humprof and whoever else may have recommended this disc!)

Spent the last week getting my ripped music sorted.
At last, it's all on one 8TB External Hard Drive (Yes I really Do need that much space!!)
And backed up on another 8TB Hard Drive (Different Manufacturer, just In case)
That’s double the amount of storage my collection needs although all mine are kept as flac, including sacd rips which take up so much space as DSF. I also keep a backup and store it at my sisters who lives close by just in case of a fire or other catastrophe, wouldn’t want to lose original and backup at the same time.

PHIL LESH & FRIENDS There And Back Again
Songs are OK, I guess, sorta like a cross between The Grateful Dead and Robben Ford.
Not sure about the recording/mix though, the drums seem too far back in the mix for my taste and a little flat sounding in the fronts. Helped to turn up the volume with the sub kicking in.
Anybody else got an opinion on the sound of this one?
It'll be interesting to see what the DR is on this also.
