Stay Surrounded Comrades!
That is a nice concert! I first found out about it on this dual disk...

It has 3 of the songs from this concert on the DVD side along with the rest of the CD side in "Enhanced Stereo (48kHz/16-bit).” After seeing the videos on this disk, I had to hunt down the full concert DVD above...
Also... a very nice CD too!

Had new Fiber HDMI cables so tested out a few discs. Good news everything sounds good.

Just googled "fiber HDMI cables" as I was unaware they even existed and came up with this:

Fiber optic HDMI cables are slimmer than copper-based HDMI cables AND capable of supporting 18Gbps, 4K/60, 4:4:4: color, and HDR/Dolby Vision up to 1,000 feet without any loss of signal. To be clear, fiberoptic cables won't help with poor signals, nor are they cheap.

Diana Krall ...the look of ... love(???)
oh man... I never thought I'd be so let down...ok, the arrangements and the MCH mix are to DIE for but ... have you ever encountered someone who rubs you the WRONG WAY????

and, oh... Diana.. I used to see you at the Berklee lobby alnost every day and I so wanted to like your stuff..had NEVER heard anything from her until now... but you know?...I will not hold that against her, we are all human and she is a star (and I am not!), so , HEY... love you in spite of everything...

BTW... my forever favorite cover of "Cry me a river" is by Aerosmith....awesome cover in spite of them being totally stoned out of their GOURDS when they did this...

I suppose KAP, when you've grown up with the likes of Ella, Sarah, Dinah and Billie, the modern crop of chanteuses pales in comparison. Saw Diana Krall live two years ago at a smallish venue and unfortunately she 'sleepwalked' her way through the performance. I do have all her surround Verve albums on DVD~A and SACD and appreciate her 'modernist' interpretations but comparing her to those Black performers from the past with their awesomely brilliant who's who of back~up musicians unfortunately exposes her shortcomings in a most unflattering light!....with that absence of the main ingredient which made those prior singers so very special ..... S O U L!

In the prophetic words and music of Duke Ellington/Irving Mills' 1931 Classic: It don't Mean a Thing .... if it ain't got that SWING!

Paul McCartney & Wings - Band On The Run

I remember lying on the couch and listening to the radio when the title track first came out on the radio. I thought it was so unusual that it sounded like three different songs put together into one song. I was excited to hear it again....

Ya know I've never even listened to the stereo versions cuz everytime i put it on its always the Quad i listen too...really need to check out the stereo one of these days
Perhaps it's somewhat sacrilegious for this forum, but I listen in stereo using Carver's sonic holography, which I prefer to 5.1 or surround. So, it always pleases me when HD stereo is included in these releases.

Wouldn't that be like an early version of a surround master or early dolby prologic ii???

Oh my Gosh, this may be the best surround disc I own. Rain, thunderclaps, lightning, trains hitching and unhitching, trains going from rears to fronts to rights and lefts, steam shooting out of the engine, clocks ticking at the station what a blast to listen to.
Absolutely would give Dark Side Of The Moon a run for it's money.
This is a MUST HAVE for the surround enthusiast. DTS 20bit/44.1 in 5.1.
