Definitely the best version. It matches the original 73 stereo release. The original 73 release has parts of songs in the closing shows mixed together to create the 73 release. Historically the Blu Ray release is great, just wished they would have put the, for lack of better wording, "the Tom Dowd 73 mix", in the Blu Ray. Everything you need to know how mixed/mashed songs where put together in the liner notes of the Blu Ray edition.
I saw The Allman Brothers Band at Winterland, SF 2 months before Duane died, Cactus opened the show, I was 16. Seen them many times after.

I would say front loaded, and rears are ambient, not a discrete mix on any of the songs.
BUT, it is surround and it is a fantastic greatest hits package from a bygone era.
Highly recommend.
