Some real spacey music man. I guess if you are new to surround and would like an example of what a discrete disc is, try this one.
1976 re released 2011 4.0 SACD, I am listening from a FLAC file at 24/88.2, avg DR 27, (one of the highest I have seen).
Tomita-Planets, Ultimate Edition.
I commented on this disc on another thread, and I thought I better take another listen. 5.1 SACD, File DSD64, DR avg 12, released in 2004 from JSP Records part of there 11 disc blues series.
This is actually quite good, maybe the new rig and room helps.
Vocals, drums & bass front/center stage, lead guitar rear left & rythm guitar rear right, this is primary set up, but as the surround is real good sometimes other things move around like a drum fill will start out front and end rear for instance.
Organ/piano kind of floats around in rear. Horns just right in rears.
One of the first surround discs I ever purchased.
I thought you were claiming the reward, Sal. Since Clement is a former English Professor ... it pays to speak Good English...or risk THE WRATH of CLEM!
