THE STAN GETZ QUARTET - PURE GETZ
SACD-MC 5.1

Man this Pure Getz SACD from Concord Jazz was sure mastered with low volume, I set my Foobar2000 SACD rips PCM plays to 0 volume, so probably should add (easily) +6db to this one. Has Getz's horn isolated in the center channel mainly, but just seems to be ambience in the rears. Great DR's though.

So the way I understand this new Vocalion SACD, is that it is a new Quad mix from Michael Dutton, is that correct?

Yep, JP. The original QUAD master tapes were compromised so Michael J. did his own remix from the original analogue masters and IMO, did a spectacular job!

Alan Williams CURRENTS [Blue Gentian Records/BD~A 5.1/Stereo] IMO, one of Alan's finest and that is saying a LOT. Spectacular discrete sound with plenty of bass
