I'm still trying to acquire a copy of this DVD, even though it is screwed up. :)

Making my wife (Mrs GOS) listen to Steven Wilson - To The Bone....in preparation for our May 2nd concert in Chicago.

Oh hell yes!!!! I cannot wait....
OK, I can't help myself......I'm so excited. May 2nd is our anniversary....32 years. We've never actually celebrated our anniversary due to my occupation in agriculture. But, I saw this concert.....and I've never seen Steven Wilson...and Chicago is only 2 hours north of us. Woo - effing - hoo! It will be a very special weekend. :)

Congrats Gene! That's a pretty long haul together there. Hope you guys have a great time at the show! :QQlove

I'm rockin' out to NIN - Beside You In Time right now! :smokin

John Martyn: Live In Concert DD 4.0
Sound could be better but the concert is amazing.

May be not the right place to ask, but does anybody know if there are John Martyn's albums
on SACD or DVD-A in surround sound?

I would love to find that.

Thanks

I highly recommend it (once the channel assignments are corrected).

Last I checked it can still be had relatively cheaply via eBay or discogs. Rather weird release configuration IMO- 180g vinyl with a DVD jammed in the vinyl jacket.

Definitely be aware that the mix is very much a product of it's time. For example, the big hit "I'd Love To Change The World" has the drums and all the electric guitar licks in the rears, and there are quite a few fast 360 pans sprinkled throughout the album.

For those of you who just got "Fish Out Of Water", where did you get it from, and how is the mix?
Is it great?! Is it 'meh'? C'mon, speak up, people!

;)

I've listened to it twice now and I'd say "great", Jakko has done a good job, I have not listened to this album for while now, but he has definitely brought out things I haven't heard before, I like the clarity of it all particularly the high hat in Bill Brufords drum kit.
I didn't realise I was getting 2 vinyl singles with this set, along with the album and 2 CDs and 2DVDs, I have already got Run With the Fox!

I got mine from https://www.cherryred.co.uk
