I know people like all the outtakes and such, but it's just dross to me. I don't care how they came up with the final result, as it's all that matters to me.

Hey @marpow, did you notice the lead vocal sounding different on "Star Me Kitten?" I played the BD last week and noticed it. Didn't see any mention of this being an issue in the album thread here. Thanks...

No, I know that album well, but not super intimately, so likely just not noticed. I do have the original CD, I'll try to remember to check it out.

I love my listening machine. It is just so good to me all the time.
Deep Purple-Machine Head- 50th Anniversary Box Set released 3/29/2024.
I also love Dweezil Zappa's mix. He explained so well, his whys and how's of his mix on a YouTube video which made perfect sense, he was very honest. It's Friday so the DB's are up.
I find it a very good way to listen to a surround release is after a few months when the dust has settled, this way I don't get into competition of trying to listen too much. BTW-the 4.0 Quad mix is excellent. A must have box set for the surround enthusiast, assuming you like this kind of music.
