Cymande, Cymande (1972) and Second Time Round (1973), in conversions from Q8. UK roots-reggae-flavored rock and soul band with some bluesy, Hendrix-y guitar. The second record has more jazz-funk-world influences. Black Britain's answer to Santana? Not exactly my thing, but I bet it worked really well at early 70s blues dances. Great quad mixes.

Hmm. I have the quad conversions. Been a long time since I listened, time to give them a spin.Cymande are back with their first wide-release album in over four decades. Samples heard on a feature story on this morning's Weekend Edition sound great:

Peter Gabriel-I/O released 12/1/2023.
There are different mixes/ CD's of the same tracks. This was created by an artist doing modern art in media.
Also remember how he let it out slowly track by track via, in my case Apple Music, great concept and idea.
