Doesn't sound like an upmix. I am surprised, it is a proper 5.1 mix with proper separation et spatialisation (although the equivalent of side 1 of disc 1 is sounding pretty bad).
Retirement followed quickly the death of his son, and maybe, it was the blow that precipitated that retirement. I was not interested by albums post Discovery, save Amarok, damn it, I waited.
I was aware of Ziggy (a BR I have also), of Heathen (ditto), not of the others. I am going to look for them if they exist in physical form. Thanks.
All the 5.1s I mentioned exist as physical discs. However, the mixes vary dramatically, I'd suggest you should take a look at the polls before investing in them (Station to Station and Live are to be avoided, for example).

You are right, prices are insane. And I found no trace of Blackstar...
Yes, that's correct. I was trying to be very precise on my mail. The mixes that I mentioned have a 5.1 mix do have a physical equivalent. The rest I mentioned are in 360RA were released only on Tidal, with the exception of Space Oddity that has a slightly different mix in Atmos and can be listened in Apple Music.
In any case, what was released on Tidal are excellent mixes that deserve a physical release.
PM me if you need any more details about Tidal mixes

I'd love to hear about Atmos mixes from any streaming source. Isn't Apple Music $6/month? Thanks.

It sounds like Fish is done with both new and back catalogue releases. I'm not holding out hope for any more from him.
From Uncle Fish
"Chocolate Frog Record Company is closing it's doors next March immediately after the UK tour.
I will no longer be manufacturing albums and the last production run was in October when the final pressings of the 'Vigil in a Wilderness of Mirrors' and 'Internal Exile' deluxe sets were delivered to Germany for the tour. There will be no more repressings of any titles. I can be certain that the existing remasters and deluxes will never be duplicated by another company. It's the end of an era and the last of the Chocolate Frog releases. "
