Thanks from me to jsulzinger. I've received a message saying that my copy soon will start it's long journey from California to Norway.

If anyone can spare a copy (or two, I have a friend who's dying for a copy) please PM me - I'm in London.

My thanks to Dr Simple and the other "local" members who have literally gone out of their way to help us overseas members get hold of these discs. What a great little package.

I picked up four today. PM me if you have a Paypal account and can wait till Saturday for me to get them in the mail. I will only charge actual cost. I will give it until Wednesday for international members and then open it up for the domestics.

I shipped out three today (one to Norway, one to the Netherlands and one to Canada) and it was rather painless so I picked up three more. PM me if you still need one. I guess I will not need to open this up to domestic members since it is now available regularly online.

I would appreciate it if anyone still has a copy they are willing to send to the UK.
Can you PM me if any are available please?
Many thanks

Brian Ming got his copy and me and the the wife like it. Neither of us had heard of the group before despite being into all of the music of the era at the time (both of us are at the wrong end of our 50's). The surrond mix is more than functional and the overall packaging is excellent.

LS was a southern rock band. Relegated to the south, but everyone liked them. Freebird is the biker anthem. They use it a biker funerals, and it's a favorite slow dance tune. I never did figure out why. Most of the album was played to death where I live. (It was very popular ( for some reason) with the inbred, toothless, graduated 4th grade crowd.)
Looks like they made it to the UK, but not sure how they were received.

In my time and space, NorCal in the Eighties, Freebird and Stairway to Heaven were popular slow dance tunes because they were the longest tunes that everybody knew. Here's the scenario: I'm at a Jr. High dance, 12 or 13 years old and totally awkward. I spent the whole night against the wall trying to muster up the courage to ask a girl to dance. For the last song, as long as it started at least 1 second before the end of the dance, the DJ (who was a student also battling raging hormones), could play whatever song they wanted without fear of being shut down. This meant the dance could run 8-10 minutes long depending on the song choice. So they inevitably played the longest song they had available that everyone would know which was always Stairway or Freebird. This would give everyone a last chance to dance to a long song to close out the night. It was weird that they rocked out at the end but it got the job done.

Great story! When I was going thru that we didn't have long running songs like that. Plus, we had a "moniter" who would keep you away from your dance partner with a 12" ruler. SOB, never did get to let mary jane know how I felt. Or rather "show her".

some just paid over 40.00 for one on the eslay and there are still some out there in the wallmarts
Plenty of 'em in Walmart. They re-stocked around here. I bought an extra one just to show 'em they sell.

What is eslay? Something in the UK?

He must have meant ebay, there are several up for $40.00. Not a bad idea?
I buy the sets, and split them with my buddy, who has no mc setup, but likes cd's
slit the LOve album/Morph the kat/The new LS, and will do so with the ELP sets, paying half price. I put them up in dvd audio cases anyway. with the covers.

Got mine from Jason this week! Thank you.

Freebird sounds great.

But did anyone notice that discreet (sic) is misspelt on the back cover?
