Well this is an incredible surprise.
The first day of BBC MATRIX H , broadcasting , (30 April 1977) , of Rock music , featuring The Amazing Jack Bruce Band.
Including the Matrix H announcement and the mini speaker test . 4X Hello in a circular fashion clockwise from left front , right front , right rear , and finally left rear.
All available on Disc Four of Jack Bruce's-Smiles &Grins , Broadcast Sessions, 1970 - 2001 BBC Broadcasts. On... Esoteric Recordings ECLEC 62852
IF you have an H decoder , well great ...but if not and I'm sure that is the majority of us here on QQ...try QS , ideally QS with an adapter that shifts the right degree. I'm told that the Surround Master will read H .
I have one and didn't hook it up , but found a slightly good alternative.
@marpow
I tried disc 4 , with my Yamaha , engaged in DSP MODE "ROCK CONCERT" to come relatively close. At least to my ears .
The fourth Hello does end up at rear left. Not the best but you can give it a try.
If you have an accurate decode of H , thru a QS adapter or H , then even the rather quick HELLO 4X should be heard in clockwise fashion.
I used to have a Sansui QSD 2 with adapter and heard both demos of HELLO 4X,even though the first is said rapidly.
Anyway 11 tracks in BBC MATRIX H, well worth having just for the test alone.
PS my order from Amazon took one day ?!!!
