I have this disc.

I probably bought it because there's a LOT of mention of DXD on the label. But as far as I can tell, the disc is just a RBCD. My Oppo 105 doesn't find any other layers, and I'm wondering if anyone else has it, and if there's anything DXD about the disc except some blurbs on the jacket and label.

Barfle, I purchased this little gem from Elusive Disc ...it was one of those FIM*/Pure SILVER super discs which when played through the SUPER DSP mode of my Meridian 861 pre/pro produced an ASTOUNDING all speaker immersively DISCRETE sound field!

This is only a standard CD with no other layers. Play it through the DSP surround mode of your pre/pro and you will be amazed how three dimensional it is!

I was literally BLOWN AWAY

BTW, DXD is the recording process.....extremely transparent!

Thanks for the response. I’m still learning my pre-pro (Marantz 7706], but I’ll check to see what surround modes it has available. I’ll also be hooking up my Oppo’s optical output to my SM V3, hopefully this week, and I’ll see how that goes.
