I just picked this up and gave it a 7. That's not bad; it's just nothing spectacular. I grew up with many of these songs, played by my parents on the country station in the car, so it's a sentimental purchase. The strongest aspect of this release is Ronnie Milsap's incredible voice. And this is an excellent value, with two albums on one disc. The surround mix is discrete but tends to be broad and simplistic. The biggest downside is that a few songs, including favorites My Love Is Deep, My Love Is Wide and Pure Love, have a stridency and sibilance in the high part of the background vocals that make them difficult to listen to. It's actually jarring when they enter abruptly in the rear channels during Pure Love. Also, as good as Milsap's vocals are, their volume varies within songs. These might be from the original sessions/mix. I don't regret getting this disc, but these negative aspects temper my enthusiasm.
