I have rules for MOFI.
1. I don't pre order.
2. MOFI is sneaky, they will release a disc today, and 1 or 2 weeks later another. The reason I believe is to get you on the shipping.
3. I usually wait and all works out.
4. My plan did not work this time, Simon and Garfunkel sold out before Jeff Beck/Jan Hammer. Oh well. I like Jeff Beck more anyway.

The new MOFI Joni Mitchell- Ladies Of The Canyon, I already have the Joni Mitchell-The Studio Albums 1968-1979- released 2021, Ladies Of The Canyon Disc 3 is good enough for me as not a big Joni fan anyway, has respectable DR's of 10's, 11's, 12's.

Missed BOOKENDS but did get the Jeff Beck Jan Hammer LIVE disc and Joni’s ‘spectacular’ Ladies of the Canyon which on my new system, MOST especially the latter were revelatory!

I like it when you buy these discs and Post the DR values. Nowadays, I can’t seem to rely on dr.loudness-war.info anymore since that Website has gone downhill over the years. Plus, I haven’t used a computer since around 2017. So, running my own checks are no longer an option using an iPad.

I know the dude running the site got into trouble because people were adding info for vinyl rips and stuff. He had to rebuild the site.

I remember him saying a few years ago it had to be rebuilt because the Website got hit. Someone got in and wiped out a lot of the listings. Or, something to that effect.

Perhaps a DDoS attack? You may be correct. I do remember him asking people not to post vinyl rip information, just the pressing without including the ripper's nickname and such. But, the rebuild could have been for the reasons you mentioned. I'm old and that was a few years ago.

No, it was a hack. Listings were deleted by an unauthorized actor.

Vinyl releases don't belong in the database at all. I wish they weren't allowed.
