IMO, INSULT to INJURY! While Dutton Vocalion continues to release QUAD SACD TWO~FERS for £12.99 [US$16] and RHINO their fantastic QUADIO and ATMOS BD~A releases for $25 [which are further discounted UNLIKE MoFi] not to mention MoFi's ridiculous wait times for their STEREO SACDs [think Van Halen], now we are subjected to a further increase!

Remember, MoFi's audience is generally died-in-the-wool audiophiles. whereas Dutton Vocalion ad Rhino's market as far as we at this forum is concerned is quadraphiles. There is some overlap among these groups (like me), but only a small percentage I bet!

I’m not so sure about that as their Fleetwood Mac Dolby Atmos release was underwhelming.

It’s because of GOS that I started a spreadsheet last year to track purchases. With my re-entry into vinyl (along with the usual suspects of quad, Atmos and boxsets), 2024 was not the year to track purchases.

I thought this year would be lighter because the vinyl library building of old stuff is done. But between new vinyl, some boxsets and SACDs, I’m already up to over ... well, a lot. And as you say, it’s only mid-January!! I was probably better off living in ignorance of what I spend on music.

Wisely, when I was re-buying vinyl last year, I didn’t buy CttE figuring Rhino had this upcoming release planned. Although with the Atmos, I don’t know how often I’ll be inclined to play the vinyl.

Now that MJ is out the door, I won’t get my feelings hurt if MoFi wants to get moving and take Van Halen's Women and Children First off my waitlist. (And all the others in the series.)

I just got the same email so my "Off The Wall" is on the way, too! This album brings back lots of memories, as many of these songs were being played when I first met my wife and the album was then fresh (1980).
