SACD is the name of the hybrid disc that can only be pressed by special factories. It contains special pit modulation to encode keys and protection metadata. Only SACD disc players that decode protections can play this disc. No writable media exists for this.

SACD-R is the name of the ISO image of the Hi-res layer of a SACD. It does not contain the security encoded protections of a SACD. It can be written to a writable DVD. This DVD or the ISO image on disk or net, can be played by some players like the Oppo, that should not check for the missing protections.
