Rickshaw..!!!

ahem.

I mean...

ROCKSHOW of course!

:wave

looks and sounds a LOT better than the footage on the PMcYears DVD set and the bootleg DVD I got off fleabay! ..and that's an understatement! it looks and sounds amazing!@:

bizarrely the packaging says its in "DTS HD Master Audio 96/24 & LPCM Stereo" but gives no indication that the DTS is 5.1..!! audience & reverb back there it may be but it is surround alright!

I just finished my first listen this afternoon - very pleased indeed. While reverb and audience occupies the bulk of the rears - the guitar solos are reinforced there as well. Great dynamic range and chance to see Macca in his prime full on rock mode. Great packaging too - hard bound book with 16 pp 4 color booklet. My expectations were exceeded!

So far for Blu-ray audio, I've got:

Pink Floyd - DSOTM, WYWH
Steven Wilson - Grace For Drowning, The Raven That Refused To Sing
The Pixies - (From the Minotaur boxed set, all their studio albums on one BR. A great example to follow, but I doubt it'll happen.)
Rush - Moving Pictures, 2112 (latest purchase)
Tom Petty - Damn The Torpedoes
Jethro Tull - Aqualung
King Crimson - Larks Tongues in Aspic
Storm Corrosion - S/T

It really doesn't look like there's going to be any organized campaign of releases for these, that I've seen at least. Pretty discouraging...

Just picked this one up today at FYE.

ohh ees soo preeddy!! :D
looks like we're not getting it here in Blighty till the end of next month! :yikes

interesting to note that since Universal first introduced their "Deluxe Edition" line, the packaging's progressively downgraded from
- a plastic slipcase with track info on a cute little slip of rice paper inserted in between digipack and plastic slipcase,
- to a plastic slipcase with track info directly printed on back of slipcase,
- to a thin strip/band of white plastic with "Deluxe Edition" emblazoned on it wrapped round the digipack,
- to a little ol' white sticker on the front of the digipack saying "Deluxe Edition"..

..times musta been gettin' tougher than tough at Universal..@:
