My good lady bought me the BD edition of Styx "The Grand Illusion and Pieces of Eight Live" and I'm really enjoying it. Superb live performance of both albums.

Good "Lady" indeed. Agree with you, I haven't checked this one out in a while but for a live Bluray, very well done in deed.

My latest which I was really looking forward to and finally arrived a few days ago is Muse-Live in Rome. So far so good, Video is awesome, sound is pretty good for what we get for live stuff.

Two Serge Gainsbourg HFPA discs
'Histoire de Melody Nelson' because it was 5.1
and
'Aux armes et cætera' because I like my Reggae with a Gallic flair

and of course Eric Claption Give me Strength

On order with Universal
Nick Drake and the Sex pistols
on order elsewhere
The Ella and Louis HFPA disc.

Within Temptation Black symphony. RUSH TAKE NOTE PLEASE!
LPCM 5.1 mix at 13 mbps; immense 5.1 very active at all times. Mastered by Darcy proper.

Bonus DVD DTS 24/96 CONCERT!

This is how you make Blu Ray concerts! Actually mix the music in 5.1 especially if there are DOZENS of instruments on stage. Shame the Epica Bu ray sucked compared to this.

One of the best Blu rays EVER released.

Muse: Live At Rome Olympic Stadium (CD/Blu-ray). Spectacular concert with great hi-def picture. Surround mix is mostly just crowd noise in the rears but the dts mix is much more listenable than the over-compressed sound on their recent CDs. Well worth a look.

The Doors-R-Evolution[it doesn't say it on the packaging but this disc has a DTS HD MA 24/96 audio track]

Doors R-Evolution BR, sound quality as I flicked through was pretty good PQ was also pretty good given some of the source material. I did notice that a lot of the Video had been released before but some of it I was new to, was not too bad a price as well under the HFPA benchmark for poor value
Just need to find the time to listen properly.

What a waste. I hate that. Might as well be 2.0.

I broke down and bought the blu-ray of Neil Young's Psychedelic Pill today, despite already owning the vinyl and CD versions. I just really love that album and got a good deal at a local store.

This arrived this morning. Sounds amazing so far...

The most disturbing thing about this release is that it is by Universal. It contains the deluxe version of the album (18 tracks in total) plus 2 music videos, a nice booklet and a proper hi-res download (FLAC/ALAC) or MP3 is included. Ok, so the card case might not be to everyone's liking, but FFS, if Universal had treated all their HFPA releases like this, I'm pretty certain we'd all be as happy as Larry.

In the words of Mark Hollis... such a shame...
