Has anyone found that with the Kraftwork 3-D BDs that the remote control STOP doesn't work - it comes up with Forbidden Operation (the others functions work). My main Denon DBP-2012UD Universal Player is out for repair (yet again!), so I'm using my one year old Panasonic DMP-BDT700EB for CDs/BD-As, and it has the latest firmware. To get the disc out I have to push Eject whilst its playing!

Test pressings, anyone?
Now, MORE THAN EVER..they are sorely needed...and being phased out...being cheap makes things costlier...

Just bought "Trilogy" by The Cure on Blu-Ray, where they perform "****ography", "Disintegration", and "Bloodlines" in full live in Berlin.
Should be amazing!

The Who - Isle of Wight 2004
Great Concert.
One of those discs where i cannot really decide if i prefer the stereo track or the surround track.
The surround fills the room nicely but the stereo track has more punch from the guitars from the front speakers.

2012 concert from the Hard Rock Calling Festival in Hyde Park - celebrating the 25th anniversary of Graceland. In addition to ALL the hits, a complete performance of Graceland with the original band. Guest artists include Jimmy Cliff, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Hugh Masakela and Jerry Douglas. It goes with out saying that the band is top notch. The recording itself is impressive - especially considering that they were playing in front of throngs of people. The good news is that unlike the disappointing Live In New York Blu Ray which was Dolby stereo only, the blu ray here has 5.1 PCM 24/48. Not particularly discrete mind you, but an enveloping "you are there" mix. If you can't bear to have the horn section not in the rears- pass on it - if you want to have a high quality testament to a phenomenal concert by a true musical legend - then I highly recommend it!

I'm glad you commented don this, I've been debating getting it.

The Strat Pack. Part of Eagle Rock's low price re-issue campaign. Great value at £8.99 (plus p&p) for a 235 minute concert featuring great performances from all concerned. The rears are used for audience noise only with the band spread across the front channels but the sound is very good. PQ is very good with only slight motion blur in parts. Very highly recommended. Jane Ira Bloom, Early Americans (Outline/Sono Luminus SLE-70005). Surround mix by Jim Anderson is more ambient than discrete, but it's a lovely, pristine recording of meditative yet propulsive music by Bloom's trio, featuring Mark Helias on bass and Bobby Previte on drums. Bloom is an artist who has recently embraced surround sound for its presence and liveliness, and no one does small-group acoustic recordings, jazz or classical, with more care than Sono Luminus. This is an artist--and a label--that the surround community needs to support! (Great price at Presto Classical, by the way.)

I totally agree: a fantastic BD~A and Sono Luminous continues to astound with their brilliant repertoire and state of the art recordings.

BTW, thanks for the link to Presto Classical. Some incredible prices. They're offering 25% off BIS SACDs this month and their Pentatone pricing is likewise excellent.

I was listening to Lou Reed's Berlin. The video is decent enough. The surround is Some guy turning an applause switch on for about 10 seconds at the conclusion of the song and repeating this. Horrible use of the rear speakers.

Are others getting their copy? I received the deluxe edition of Marillion - Misplaced Childhood. Signatures all across the front....I can't read them...but anyway.... :)
Nice looking release. :)

I had an email today to say mine was on its way, so they're posting in the UK now, I'll probably get it Friday or Saturday as the carrier pigeons have to stop a few times on route!

Gene, I ordered mine from amazon.uk and its on its way(HOORAH), for me this is already a victory as everything I am ordering from amazon.ca is taking forever as I just got my copy of "Anathema-The Optimist" which is par for the course for us here at least 1 to 2 month delay on other amazon's in receiving copies.

Don't think I will have time to listen to Optimist till weekend but looking forward to hearing this one.

Marillion or is it Marilyn(SW 12 year old comment) hopefully in 2 weeks.
