Freddy-baby, you continue to knock the ball right out of the old cricket pitch we these quad soul music finds! 😃

Feel fortunate to get to hear this stuff streaming in surround I would never notice in stereo or consider buying in disc re-issue even if available.
I remembered Rock the Boat from this on mono AM radio or crap television speakers, but, wow.

That first track hit all four speakers and my old synapses fired a memory of Rockin' Soul!
Buddy, by the first refrain I was up out of my chair in a one-man Soul Train line boppin' around the man-cave!
IIRC that’s a beloved album by our very own @ar surround - can’t get enough of it!

rejigged in Surround by the late great Larry Keyes, still my favourite Quad mixing man 💘
Give Thanks!

Watch out with taunting me about Rock The Boat in Atmos, Pupster. I passed through your neck of the woods yesterday and eventually will be heading there on the way back. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: Ugh, the traffic on I80 between SF and Sacramento competes with the Long Island Expressway...even on a Saturday.

Thank you Adam! Except EJ, none of it is available on Apple spatial, correct?

the Quad of I'm Coming Home is available now in 360 Reality Audio on Tidal and Amazon Music Unlimited, so i'm hopeful it is only a matter of time before it comes to Apple Music in Dolby Audio 🤞

there is also one Spinners track in Dolby Atmos on Apple Music, I'll Be Around from the S/T album, curiously its a new mix and not the old Quad;

Morton Subotnick revisited Silver Apples of the Moon in its quadraphonic version, recorded by @kamranv
It is considered to be the first electronic music specifically written for the album format (1967)

Lots of quad awesomeness going on in this track.
Don't be put off by the ambient quiet opening and crank up the volume.
Patience to let the piece unfold will be rewarded.

Not everybody's cup of tea, but worth a 25-minute listen in a proper mood, set & setting.
Perhaps not in the middle of a sequence of vintage quad rock & soul into modern SW prog re-mixes. ;)

Yes indeed. I listened to this track live at the Gray Area in SF, with another piece from Morton "till I breathe" (I think that was the title). All in quadraphonic awesomeness...

I've waded through all of the previous posts and I didn't see anyone mention that Rush's Moving Pictures is available in Atmos from Apple Music.
Don't select the "40th Anniversary Edition", select the remastered edition.
Too bad some of the mixes sound like a boombox being played in the sewer.

Try looking in the Dolby Atmos thread. This is the Dolby Audio thread.
