Next week I will be upgrading from 5.1 to a 5.1.4 system. I'm looking for tracks/albums on Tidal with significant activity in the height channels. To see if it was worth the effort. Thanks in advance for your help.
Thank you. I will give it a listen when upgrade complete.I'm not on Tidal, but the following album by Kx5 is one of the best (within the genre at least) to give your heights proper workout

Thanks Jonathan, added St. Vincent to my list. Not on Tidal either, but I think the following titles are available:
- Grateful Dead - American Beauty
- Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers - Greatest Hits
- Katatonia - Sky Void Of Stars
- Porcupine Tree - Closure/Continuation
- Tears For Fears - The Hurting
- The Church - The Hypnogogue
- Tori Amos - Ocean To Ocean
- Van Morrison - Moondance
- St. Vincent - Daddy's Home
Finished the speaker upgrade earlier this week. I wanted to thank you all for your recommendations. I tried to listen to at least samples of all of them I could find (Tidal, you know. Come here for the Atmos now try and find them, lol). Love the producers/mixers that embrace the entire soundfield. I must admit the effect is more subtle than I imagined. I expected everything to be much more directional. But it makes my rig sound so big! I just love it. Thanks again for your inputs.
New Order - "Blue Monday"I wanted to bump this thread rather than making one with basically the exact same title (reference tracks for height channels on Tidal). Anything new from the past 20 months or so you guys would recommend to someone who just added height channels?
