Do you have to use a particular media player. Can it bitstream Dolby Atmos and DTS audio via HDMI. And how about DSD bitstreams?
Using squeezelite, a small distro on an SD card, piCoreplayer on a RaspberryPi runs the Lyrion Media Server (LMS - previously Logitech Media Server) . After Logitech dropped the Squeezebox hardware products (despite being able to handle many file types and high resolution) a very strong user community has kept it alive and surpassed the original functions of LMS using Raspberry pi and other hardware sources.

LMS cannot bitstream Dolby ATMOS, or .mka files, but it can process DSD and DTS. I cannot directly 'send' MultiChannel files to my AVR, but using the UPNP media bridge I can channel multichannel files to the Oppo 203 using the interface on a tablet, laptop, cell phone, etc. Other options include Airbridge for using Apple devices, and capability to link libraries to Spotify, Deezer, Tidal.

I have a Oppo 203 and a friend sent me some files in flac 192 khz for rhino quad and my setting is bitstream for hdmi playback on my Oppo and all I get is wierd fluttering sound of the music as if at wrong speed.
Can the Rhino quad be put at 192 or should it be 96 as isn't 192 meant for stereo playback?
I have an Oppo 105D, and play Rhino Quad SACDs at 192kHz both out the analog out [for stereo using the Sabre reference DAC) and HDMI to my Onkyo 5.2.4 AVR for multi-channel playback. I believe the HDMI is set to PCM.
